Cataract is the loss of transparency of the lens in the eye and makes it feel like a curtain has descended. Although it is known as a disease related to old age in our country, it can be seen in people of all ages in Africa due to the conditions.
Cataracts, which can be treated with a simple operation, cause tens of thousands of adults and children to lose their sight every year in Africa.
HOW DID WE SUCCESS?
We treated the eyes of 1000 cataract patients in Tamale and Wa, Ghana.
WHAT ARE OUR TARGETS?
As Umuda Koşanlar Association, we do not remain indifferent to the problem of cataracts. We continue our cataract surgeries in Tamale, Ghana, where we have been instrumental in the treatment of hundreds of patients and have had very positive results. Every month, we are instrumental in opening the eyes of 100 cataract patients on a regular basis.
The contribution fee for a cataract surgery is 925 TL.
