A children's rights summit was held in Ankara Keçiören. At the summit attended by AFAD President Mehmet Güllüoğlu, academicians and many parliament members, an award ceremony was also held. The founding President of the Umuda Koşanlar Association, Gamze Özçelik was among the award winners at the summit.
"Hempa Children Association", the only association in Europe and Turkey founded by children, organized a children's rights summit in Ankara. The summit was attended by AFAD President Mehmet Güllüoğlu, AK Party parliament members, representatives of non-governmental organizations and journalists. The subject of children in shattered worlds was discussed.
At the summit, prizes were given to those showing sensitivity about children. The founder of the Umuda Koşanlar Association, Gamze Özçelik was deemed worthy of an award for her social responsibility activities. AFAD President Mehmet Güllüoğlu received the Refugee Children Award, the Most Responsive Journalism Award was given to the Anadolu Agency, and Tülay Gökçimen was awarded the Most Sensitive Director award for her documentary on Arakan.
