Within the 2nd stage of the Hope Springs Water-Wells Project, we are pleased to have opened a total of 23 water wells, 10 in Africa and 13 in Cameroon. In villages where the water wells were opened between the dates of 30th of April and 7th of May in 2019, we distributed meat of sacrificial animals to the needy families and planted 5 mango trees near by the drilled wells by giving responsibility to village chiefs to take care of the trees that are the same as our 1st stage works. As in all of our opening ceremonies of Hope Springs, we once again played games and made celebrations with a great joy.
In the villages we visited, we were able to distribute 2000 Quran to children memorizing it including 700 of t-shirts with Turkish flag, clothes and toys. In a village without electricity and suffering in darkness, we had the opportunity to have a great time and share a great excitement with each other by watching the cartoon translated in their own language in the open air cinema built by us in the village square with the projection, projection screen and sound system we took with us.
In the second stage of Hope Springs Project falling on the Ramadan, we organized the first iftar dinner with 200 of children in need at the local school being 1 hour away from the capital of Chad, N'Djamena. We reached out many families, sick ones and disabled people who are in urgent need of help to give our alms(zakat) donations as part of the 2nd stage of Hope Springs Water-Wells Project.
